Google Launches Experimental App To Provide Offline Directions For Delhi Metro

While all the features work offline, you may require Internet to get notified about live information about Metro and bus delays.

Google India has launched a new app dubbed as Delhi Public Transport Offline that offers its users with offline directions for Delhi Metro and bus.

While the app is said to work completely offline, it also updates you with notifications about bus news and information regarding the delay.

Adding more on the app, the company claims that the app will search for Delhi Metro and bus directions and timetables without its users being required to connect to the Internet.

The app supports DMRC Metro, DTC Bus, Gurgaon Rapid Metro and DIMTS Orange buses.

However, it looks to be a very simple app with no extensive designs aimed at helping the people to easily transit in and around Delhi.

Also, it is worth noting that the official app description by Google clearly says that the app is still in the experimental stage and has been designed from the team behind Google Maps.

The company has also informed that the features may change in time according to the feedback given by its users.

If you live in Delhi or visit the country capital, you can try out the app and give your worthy feedback to Google helping them out to come up with a worthy decent app. You can download the app here.
