Google Confirms India Launch Date For Nexus 5X And 6P

Latest Nexus smartphones will be available for purchase 3 days before iPhone 6S & 6S Plus are being brought to India.

 

Google has finally confirmed the launch date of its new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P in India and it's, Oct 13.

To recall, this date almost comes in sync with most of the recent rumours and the company is also said to have been sending out invites for the event that will be held in Delhi.

Also, it surely looks like Google wants to introduce the new Nexus smartphones in India before the recently launched iPhones arrive. It is worth noting that the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus that were launched in New York a few weeks ago are coming to India officially on Oct 16.

However, there seems to be various incidents where the latest iPhones have been seized in the aiports while being smuggled.

Adding further, it is worth recalling that Google Play Store in India recently updated the pricing details for the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P devices. Accordingly, the Nexus 5X will be coming with a price tag of Rs 31,900 for 16 GB variant and Rs 35,900 for 32 GB variant while the Nexus 6P will be available at Rs 39,999 for the 32 GB variant and Rs 42,999 for the 64 GB variant.

Speaking about the two new Nexus smartphones, we know that the Nexus 5X belongs to LG and the Nexus 6P has been manufactured by Huawei. Also, to recall, this is the first time Google has partnered with Huawei for a Nexus device.
