Philips Launches Two New Smartphones In India
While the Xenium I908 comes with premium features at Rs 11,799, the Xenium S309 is a pocket friendly phone at Rs 4,999.
Popular electronics company Philips has launched two Android-based smartphones in India dubbed Xenium I908 and Xenuim S309 with price tags of Rs 11,799 and Rs 4,999 respectively.
While both the smartphones are new in the market, the Xenium I908 has been listed on the company website since December last year.
Going in-depth in to the technical specifications of both the smartphones, let us first see what the Xenium I908 has.
The Philips Xenium I908 comes with dual SIM support and 5 inch full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 441 ppi. While running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the smartphone is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor coupled with a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB.
The device comes with a 13 MP autofocus rear camera with CMOS sensor, f/2.2 aperture and LED flash while the front facing camera comes with a 5 MP sensor with a 88 degree wide-angle lens for better selfies.

The Xenium I908 comes with a 3,000 mAh battery which the company claims to deliver up to 25 hours of talk time and 1080 hours of stand by time. Connectivity options on the Philips I908 include Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, FM radio, and 3G.
Moving ahead with the Xenium S309, it is a pocket friendly smartphone with a 4 inch WVGA TFT display and powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor along side 512 MB of RAM. Also, the internal memory is just 4 GB in the budget smartphone which comes 5 MP rear camera and VGA front facing camera.
However, the highlight of the rear camera is that, it comes with a CMOS sensor and LED flash, considering the price point of the smartphone.

The smartphone also includes a 1600mAh Li-ion battery that is rated to deliver up to 9.5 hours of talk time and up to 500 hours of standby time while the connectivity features stay almost the same as Xenium I908, and include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, FM radio, and 3G.
