XOLO’s Black Smartphone May Be Spill-Proof And Smudge-Free

The smartphone maker put up a teaser video that gives out subtle hints about the same.

 

While XOLO’s soon to be announced Black phone is not exactly what a ‘blackphone’ should be, the smartphone may have a couple of tricks up its sleeves.

While we know that XOLO will be going down the Huawei route with its dual sensor camera set up, a new video also tells us that it may be splash proof as well.

The video clearly shows off the smartphone’s splash proof (not waterproof) capabilities, but also gives subtle hints that the back and front may come with an oleophobic coating. This also indicates that both of them will be made of glass and hopefully not plastic.

Smartphone manufacturers these days have been taking baby steps by adding some innovative features from a Visual IVR system on the Xiaomi Mi 4i, to ASUS’ smudge proof coating on the back of its Zenfone 2.

XOLO however has plans to produce a Black series phone every quarter. Its first Black smartphone, which is expected to sport 4G connectivity and comes with XOLO’s very own HIVE UI that it introduced with the XOLO 8X-1000.
