Samsung GALAXY S6 And S Edge Renders Leak Out
While the designs do look legit, that protruding camera is worrisome.
It is not that we have not seen our fair share of leaks of the Samsung GALAXY S6, but this is indeed the first one that delivers a render of the GALAXY Edge or GALAXY S Edge smartphone.
While these are still renders by a case maker, the renders do show promise and keep in line with the silhouette of the teaser that Samsung posted not too long ago.
The camera unit on both smartphones do look unrealistically big if you ask us. If Samsung did show up with such a protrusion on the back of its flagship smartphone, it would indeed make us forgive Apple with its iPhone 6 camera bump altogether. Still then, this seems to be a rather exaggerated render, since the home button also looks like a big lump.
As for the rest of the design of the standard GALAXY S6, it all falls in line with the past leaked sketches. There is the exposed metal frame on the sides along with the coloured metal back similar to the A5’s body.
In terms of the GALAXY S Edge, things do look pretty interesting. While the dual edged curved display will attract consumers, we still have our doubts about how practical Samsung can make it. But we must say that it does look beautiful; at least from what we can see from the image and does not appear as bulky as the Note Edge.
While the leaks come from a pretty credible source, we must admit that Samsung may have a something here with Edge model just by the way it looks. Couple that with some powerful hardware and bloat-free software, and we may have a very interesting Samsung flagship to look forward to, this year.
