OnePlus’ Upcoming Flagship Gets Delayed To Q3 2015
Let’s hope that the company moves ahead since the One is beginning to age.
There is indeed not much news about the OnePlus One’s successor online. The OnePlus that managed to sell about a million One smartphones despite issues with production, seems to have hit another roadblock with its upcoming smartphone.
Forbes reports that the company will delay the launch of its One Plus One successor to the third quarter of 2015. This is due to issues with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset.
This could be due to heating issues that were earlier reported, but well, LG with its G Flex 2 has not complained and neither has Xiaomi with its Mi Note Pro (both announced but yet to be launched). So we are guessing it is something to do with the shift to 64-bit that may be postponing the product.
As for the name of the One Plus successor, it is said that the Chinese smartphone maker will switch to a digit instead a word. So we can expect the next smartphone to be called the ‘OnePlus 2’ instead of the ‘OnePlus Two’.
