Samsung Announces The GALAXY A3, A5, E5 And E7 Smartphones In India

After a long wait Indian consumers can finally get their hands on these metal-bodied mid-rangers.

 

It has indeed been a long wait for the Samsung fans who have been waiting for the A series handsets to arrive in India. Well, today was that day and Samsung decided to surprise the press and deliver something pretty much unexpected in the form of the youth oriented E series of smartphones.

While we have been checking out the GALAXY A3 and the A5 for long it was indeed the E5 and the E7 that were a complete surprise. The GALAXY A series of handsets show off Samsung’s new design philosophy using a metal uni-body, combining premium design with a mid-range price tag. The same can be said about the E series of handsets announced today as they too come with a uni-body design using metal, but with slightly rounded edges at a slightly lower price range.

It is pretty evident from the specs below that Samsung focuses on premium design and demands a higher price tag from the A series, while the E series simply caters to capable hardware.

Samsung GALAXY A3

Samsung GALAXY E7

Both the GALAXY A3 and A5 will go on sale in the coming week and will be available in black, white and gold for a price tag of Rs 20,500 and Rs 25,500 respectively. As for the affordable E series, the E7 will set you back by Rs 23,000, while the E5 remains at a pocket-friendly Rs 19,300 only. The E series will be available in India from the 20th of January.
