Leaked: OnePlus One With A Yellow StyleSwap Back

While the Bamboo StyleSwap covers have yet to make an appearance on its store, another yellow limited edition cover seems to have appeared out of nowhere.

 

OnePlus One’s StyleSwap covers were clearly a big flop. The company had made a big noise about it before the launch of the OnePlus One smartphone, but somehow they were never heard of until recently when the company announced about the failure of the StyleSwap cover. The company also mentioned that they had managed to produce a limited number of StyleSwap bamboo covers and that they would be going on sale soon. But even that did not take off as we can still see them marked as “coming soon”. Well, images of yet another StyleSwap cover have surfaced online in a unique yellow shade. Our guesses point to the last Kevlar option, since every other one has already rolled out so far.

While not all of us are fans of yellow, the finish of the product similar to the bamboo StyleSwap cover, is indeed admirable. Obviously a lot of us did expect the Kevlar cover to look tough, but Kevlar is a synthetic fibre that is spun into ropes or fabric sheets that can be used as such or as an ingredient in composite material components. Also the natural colour of Kevlar is yellow, though it is available in a number of other yarns so it makes sense for OnePlus to go with the yellow shade.

We are pretty sure that OnePlus will not sell them separately but provide them as an option while buying the smartphone itself. This is to avoid damage, while putting them on, which is what prevented the StyleSwap Cover system from taking off.
