Lenovo Announces The S860 Smartphone With A Giant 4000 mAh Battery
Quality construction along with robust hardware specifications make the S860 a clear winner in its class.
Lenovo has announced its latest Lenovo S860 handset which is the company’s latest addition to their S series of smartphones. Stylish designs and fast processing speeds are what make up the S series in Lenovo’s smartphone line-up and the S860 has been designed to deliver just that.
Announced just a few months back at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) the S860 packs a 5.3 inch HD (1280 x 720 pixel) screen and is powered by Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 with Lenovo’s custom UI on top. The handset comes with a 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor coupled with a hefty 2 GB of RAM. An 8 MP shooter takes care of the S860’s camera department with a 1.6 MP unit used as the front-facing one. The handset also comes with a large 16 GB of internal memory which sadly cannot be expanded.
The Lenovo S860 sports a premium brush-metal exterior that is resistant to scratches and fingerprints as well. Also included are a pair of stereo speakers which are placed at the bottom of the device.
The mid-range handset comes with dual SIM support and powers all of the above with a massive 4000 mAh battery which delivers a whole day talk time on 3G.
Sudhin Mathur, Director-Smartphones, Lenovo India, while praising the S860 said,
“The new range of S series smartphones complements the users’ aspirations. Bundled with stylish design, blazing fast processing speeds, and integrated Lenovo proprietary apps, these phones provide customers a great user experience without sacrificing performance,. We launched the S860 at MWC this year and the smartphone completes our range of products like P780 and S660 that provides users an incredibly long battery life. It was also recognized as one of the best launches from Lenovo at MWC this year.”
The Lenovo S860 comes preloaded with custom Lenovo Apps and will be up for pre-order at the company's online store starting Monday for Rs. 1,999. The handset will hit the shelves at brick and mortar stores across the country starting from the 3rd of May, 2014 for Rs 21, 500.
