Canvas Doodle 3 A102 Brings Big-Screen Entertainment With A Budget Price Tag
Sporting a 6 inch FWVGA screen and a 2500 mAh battery, Micromax seems to have a winner in the budget segment.
Micromax is known for designing some really class-leading devices that deliver great hardware specifications at a reasonable price. The company has now announced another device which does the exact same thing, the Canvas Doodle 3 A102; adding to its line-up of Canvas devices.
The Canvas Doodle 3 A102 brings a host of new features to budget segment with the biggest one being the large 6 inch screen which comes with 480 x 854 pixel array. Once you get past that large screen which is built for media consumption, you notice that the handset runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. This is not bad considering that this is a budget handset after all.
Inside, you will find MediaTek MT6572 dual-core processor running at 1.3 GHz and 512 MB of RAM. Internal memory comes in the form of 4 GB of ROM which is expandable to 32 GB via a microSD card slot. The camera is 5 MP auto-focus unit which comes an LED flash while the front-facing unit is 0.3 MP one.
Commenting on the launch, Shubhodip Pal, CMO Micromax said, Micromax said, “At Micromax, we have always aimed to offer something new and different with every product launch with affordable innovation being our core DNA. The Canvas Doodle 3 further reinforces our commitment to empower our consumers with larger screen to help them express their imagination in a more creative way like never before. This is complemented by an entire eco-system of applications.”
The phone comes with a long list of Micromax apps and even some useful productivity apps like Kingsoft Office. Micromax also includes active sensor magnetic flip cover to protect the screen from dust and scratches. Additionally the company gives buyers the BigFlix app as well, offering unlimited movies to users for 6 months.
The phone will be available for Rs 8,500 across all leading retail stores in India starting from the 25th of April, 2014.
