ASUS Announces R9 270 DirectCU II Graphics Card

GPU’s capacitors said to last up to two and half times longer than the traditional ones.

ASUS has announced R9 270 DirectCU II, a new graphics card powered by the latest AMD Radeon R9 270 GPU. As an ASUS overclocked-edition card, it clocks up core speed of 975 MHz, reaching the 104% level in 3DMark as claimed by ASUS. R9 270 has been crafted using exclusive Super Alloy Power components. Solid-state capacitors, concrete-core chokes, and hardened MOSFETs are all designed to withstand much greater stress. The brand claims that the GPU’s capacitors last up to two and half times longer than traditional capacitors.

The new ASUS R9 270 has a unique advantage in the shape of GPU Tweak, an exclusive ASUS tool. This helps in fine-tuning GPU and video-memory clock speeds and voltages, cooling-fan speeds, and power-consumption thresholds in real time. The GPU Tweak Streaming tool lets users share on-screen action over the internet in real time, so others can watch live as games is played. It’s even possible to add a title to the streaming window along with scrolling text, pictures, and webcam images.

The ASUS R9270-DC2OC-2GD5 graphics card is available for Rs 12,500 excluding taxes.
