Develop An App, Become A Star With Vodafone AppStar
Win Prizes, Make India proud.
Bring out the inner developer in you, Vodafone is all gung ho to encourage local mobile app developers to make "cool apps", much in line with last year's appStar 2012.
This is global initiative by Vodafone that provides a platform for all mobile app developers to showcase their talent to a larger, global audience. The best app across categories will be selected to represent India, which in turn will compete with the best developed apps in the world.

The three categories where you can design your app is:
- Best Game.
- Best Utility.
- Best Local Language App.
Vodafone is very open and encouraging, as the contest is open for anyone be it established company, student, hobbyists, or a freelancer, who can develop apps for Blackberry, Android, J2ME, Windows Phone, or iOS.
The Prize
Vodafone will give out straight cash prizes up to Rs 50,000 for the first place in India event, while internationally you can expect USD 12,000 (approx Rs 7.4 Lakhs). For more details read here.
The winners of the India round will stand a chance to participate in the international round that will be held in Kenya. Send you entries before 3rd November, winner of which will be announced on 25th November with the International Event being held in December 2013.
