No More Tweeting For Indian Cricketers

Team management bans players from using social networks when on tour.

 

After the ICC fined 50% of his match fee, cricketer Virat Kohli decided to vent his frustration out on his Twitter account.  The batsman tweeted, "I agree cricketers don't have to retaliate. What when the crowd says the worst things about your mother and sister. The worst I've heard". What followed was a flurry of replies. English batsman Kevin Pietersen tweeted, "Ha ha ha ha ha!!! Welcome to Australia buddy!!", to which Kohli said, "Never heard crap like that. EVER".

Reports suggest that the BCCI, not wanting this incident to snowball into another controversy, has asked players to refrain from commenting on social networks. Apparently, Kohli's antics haven't gone down too well with the team, which is staring at another disastrous series. No one in the management wants a repeat of the 2007-08 Monkeygate controversy. However, a fresh new row at this time might actually take our minds off their shoddy performance.
