Rumour: Micromax Working On Canvas Turbo A250 With Full-HD Display
Could feature a quad-core processor and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.
The second biggest smartphone manufacturer in India, Micromax, seems to be prepping its new Canvas series handset with a 1080p screeen. If MMXNewscaster is to be believed, the upcoming handset is called Canvas Turbo A250. Moreover, it is said to pack in a quad-core processor, probably MediaTek's new 1.5 GHz MT6589T chipset. The information has been based on the boot animation screenshot, supposedly extracted from the ROM of the device. So while we know the screen resolution, there's not enough data to comment on the display size.
The A250 will be the successor of Micromax's current flagship Canvas 4 A210. It will also be the first domestic handset to flaunt a full-HD screen. There's no information about its camera and Android version as of yet. Considering the recently released Doodle 2 comes with Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean), you can expect the same version of OS on the A250 as well. From whatever limited info we have right now, the A250 seems like a direct competitor to Gionee Elife E6 that costs Rs 23,000.
