YouTube For Android Revamped, To Hit Play Store Soon
The app brings a new UI theme, along with other enhancements.
YouTube's Android application will soon see a revamp, and the new version, the YouTube for Android v5.0, should be available in the next few days, via the Google Play store.
The major enhancements include a new User Interface card-based approach and groups frequently-used widgets. The app supports multi-tasking: A swipe down will now push the currently playing video to the bottom, without pausing it, as you work on the device. Stopping or closing the video can be done by swiping to the left and right respectively.
The revamped YouTube application will also allow users to search and play videos via playlists. In addition to this, Google has also changed the app's logo, and the internet giant is also mulling over the release of a revamped YouTube for iOS shortly.
