Redesigned Google Maps For Android, Now Available For Download
New "Explore" feature let's you hunt for places in a jiffy!
The revamped Google Maps Android application is available for download on the Google Play Store. The redesigned Google Maps follows the new design, similar to its desktop version, which Google announced at the I/O Developers Conference 2013. The app features an all new user interface and provides enhanced navigation to users. Seeding for both Android phones and tablets, it comes with a new feature called "Explore" to help you look for places, local favourites, and common interests.
The new Google Maps is available for devices running Android 4.0 and above. The changelog list of the new Google Maps for Android includes:
- Voice-guided turn-by-turn GPS navigation.
- 360-degree street view of cities, restaurants, and museums.
- Sign in to save favorite locations, get tailored recommendations, and access past searches across devices.
- New Explore feature.
- Revamped user-interface (UI).
- Comprehensive, accurate maps in 200 countries, and useful information on over 100 million places worldwide.
