Micromax Canvas 4 Comes Up For Pre-Booking, Tech-Specs Unofficially Leak Out
The new Canvas is expected to have a 5" display, and run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
After several teasers, the Micromax Canvas 4 is now up for pre-booking on its official website for Rs 5000. The Canvas 4, will in all probability come with a 13 MP rear camera (as indicated in its teaser video below). Micromax, on its official website hints at 8th July launch, and we can expect it to reveal pricing details then.
Micromax clarifies that users pre-booking the device will receive an email with the login credentials required to complete the transaction post the handset's launch. Users will have to pay the entire purchase price of the phone between 8th and 15th July, failing which the amount will be refunded.
As of now, the technical specifications of the Canvas 4 are yet to be made official. But rumour mills suggest, the device will sport a 5" display, and pack in a 1.2 GHz quad-core Mediatek processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, 2000 mAh battery, 5MP front camera, and 13 MP rear camera.
Considering Micromax affinity for the latest Android OS, we expect the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform to run the Micromax Canvas 4. As for its pricing, we guess that the device will most likely be lesser than the Rs 20K mark. Although, the tech-specs of Micromax Canvas 4 are still unofficial, we expect the device to compete against flagship models of manufacturers such as XOLO and Karbonn.
