Facebook Goes Down And Back Up Again

Facebook fans probably faced the horror of their lives yesterday as the social networking site suddenly faced an outage, leaving millions virtually stranded. The outage lasted for less than an hour before the site was back up working normally. It is as yet unclear why the outage happened because FB has not yet commented regarding the same. Some have expressed the possibility of the infamous hacker group Anonymous behind it, while others have linked it to the recent US NSA PRISM data mining scandal. However, there is nothing concrete right now about the real reason why the site was down.

Interestingly and not surprisingly, people took to Twitter to express their feelings about the outage. It is usually the other way round, Twitter users take to Facebook when Twitter goes down, which is usually more frequent than FB. Here are some of the witty tweets that we came across.
