Micromax MMX377G Data Card Launches, Claims 14.4 Mbps Speed
The USB dongle is powered by MediaTek’s MT6280 3G/HSPA+ technology.
Micromax has launched MMX377G, a new data card claiming to offer a speed of 14.4 Mbps that can reduce data buffering time. The MMX377G data card comes with a YouTube tab in its software, for access to the weekly top 10 music videos and micromaxonline.com.
On paper, the data card's 14.4 Mbps speed should allow for faster internet accessing, and faster web page loads, but the device's performance in a real world scenario would be a true indicator of its potential. Micromax says that the MMX377G 14.4 Mbps data card is designed for the social media enthusiasts, as the data card is said to allow file uploads at a speed of 5.76 Mbps. The Micromax MMX377G supports any operator’s SIM card, and also incorporates a T-Flash memory card reader. With an MOP of Rs 1699, MMX377G is available across all leading retail outlets in India, and can also be purchased from www.micromaxinfo.com.
Key features of the new Micromax data card, according to a press release:

Commenting on the new launch MediaTek’s General Manager – Business Development, Dr. Finbarr Moynihan, said, "Micromax 377G dongle is the first device in India powered by MediaTek’s MT6280 3G/HSPA+ thin-modem platform. The chipset supports HSPA+ data rates, receive diversity and comes as a highly-integrated, single-chip baseband and RF SoC (System on Chip) that offers small size, low power and leading data modem performance ideal for 3G data dongles, resulting in a high-quality browsing experience for consumers".
