Micromax A110Q Canvas 2 Plus Launches At Rs 12,100
Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) based smartphone features a quad-core CPU, 5" IPS screen, and 2000 mAh battery.
Micromax has launched a new quad-core handset called the A110Q Canvas 2 Plus. The device runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), and sports a 5" IPS display with capacitive multi-touch input. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage, that is augmented by up to 32 GB through microSD. An 8 MP snapper is present on the rear, while the front has a 2 MP camera. The dual-SIM phone supports 3G and Wi-Fi. Its 2000 mAh battery is good enough for 6 hours of talk time as per the company's claims. Here are the phone's specifications:
- Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean); Google Play Store.
- Dual-SIM (3G + 2G), Dual standby, (GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800 HSPA 2100 MHz).
- 5" IPS capacitive screen with pixel dimensions of 480x854.
- 1.2 GHz quad-core MT6589 CPU.
- 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal storage, Up to 32 GB microSD card support.
- 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and dual LED, 2 megapixel front camera.
- 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, FM radio, 3.5 mm audio jack, GPS.
- Sensors: Proximity, Motion, Gravity.
- 2000 mAh battery with up to 6 hours talk time.
Micromax also bundles along its own applications such as M! Live, M! Zone+, Fruit Devil, Darkman, and Hookup. Of course, you can always download more apps and games from Google Play Store. In case you are wondering, the new smartphone is different from the A110 from the same company in many ways: a quad-core CPU in place of dual-core, 1 GB RAM instead of 512 MB, Jelly Bean instead of ICS, and a 2 MP front camera instead of a 0.3 MP. The primary difference against their own A116 then, seems to be the lower screen resolution of this phone. The price tag of Rs 12,100 seems to be a bit on the higher side when you can actually get the Karbonn Titanium S5 with a 5" IPS screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core CPU for Rs 12,000.
