LG Nexus 4 16GB Hits India, Available For Pre-Booking

This Nexus smartphone comes with a quad-core processor and 2GB RAM, for a fairly good gaming experience and the latest Android OS.

Google's Nexus 4, that is manufactured by LG can now be pre-booked online. The smartphone was originally launched in the October of 2012, but hadn't made its way to India until now. The release date of the smartphone in India is estimated to be in the last week of May 2013. The LG Nexus 4 can be pre-booked for a price of Rs 25,990 on Flipkart, which may indicate it is in India by LG's efforts, and still won't be available on Google's Play Store.

Talking tech-specs, the Nexus 4 has a 4.7" display, runs on a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, an 8MP rear camera and a 1.3 MP front camera. There is a 2,100 mAh battery with support for wireless charging; besides Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity. For now, only the variant in black colour is listed to become available officially. The LG Nexus 4 (model E960) offers the same USP as every Google Nexus device before it - the latest operating system, currently Android 4.2 and possibly Android 4.3 as soon as it is officially released.

In this case, the smartphone's pricing on Flipkart may seem high-margin even after accounting for the "Nexus mania" and it being the 16GB version. Consider that it is an old model by now, may soon get replaced with a newer Nexus 5, and that there are many other good options in that price range from the big brands. Those who simply want the "quad-core factor" in their phone can easily get that even with lower-end phone models priced around Rs 10k.
