LG Optimus 4X HD To Get Android 4.1 Update
The update brings Google Now integration along with various other enhancements.
LG's Optimus 4X HD (P880) is all set to get the Android 4.1 update, however, users will have to turn to the LG Mobile Support Tool to get the update up and running on their handsets, as opposed to the conventional OTA (over the air) updates. For now, the update is seeding to the Optimus 4X HD users in Europe, and there are no details about its availability in India.
With the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, you can expected the following new features:
- Project Butter, for faster and smooth performance.
- Improved overall responsiveness.
- Expandable notifications.
- Integration with Google Now.
- Wi-Fi Protected Support (WPS) support.
- VSync for constant frame rate.
- Faster Dictate (typing by issuing voice commands) offline.
The LG Optimus handset was announced in February last year at the MWC 2012, and has been available in India since July 2012. The device runs Android 4.0 ICS out of the box.
