100 Million GALAXY S Phones Sold Till This Date: Samsung
190,000 units of Samsung Galaxy S III is supposedly being sold every day; took more than 2 years to achieve this milestone.
Since the launch of Samsung GALAXY S in May 2010, the Korean giant reports of selling more than 100 million smartphones of the GALAXY S series in two years and seven months. The company then went on to launch the Samsung GALAXY S II, followed by their latest flagship, the GALAXY S III.
In fact, the latest flagship (GS3) is at the heart of the figure: The company claims to sell as many as 190,000 units a day. A million units of the handset were sold in the first fifty days of its launch, with the number swelling to over 40 million in just seven months.
Its younger sibling, the GALAXY S II took 20 months to hit the 40 million mark. Samsung will also be hoping that the latest addition in the series, the GALAXY S III mini will also contributed in a big way to this success story.
