Nokia Maps officially makes it to iOS devices; Android and Firefox OS will soon follow.

After announcing HERE Maps for several mobile platforms, Nokia has rolled out the app for iOS users. Considering that Apple's mapping solution led people to places they shouldn't or didn't want to be, Nokia will surely earn Cupertino some brownie points! The service is also available via a browser at this link. You can also add road details online using the Map Creator.

The iOS app — which works on the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad — is based on Nokia's NAVTEQ mapping data. It offers an assortment of map views including live traffic view, public transport line view, and satellite view for as many as 200 countries. The app suggests driving directions and public transport routes, and also provides step-by-step voice-guided walk navigation. You can also share locations — including the route you took — via a link that you send over SMS, email, or social networks. Check the gallery for more app screenshots!
