LG has announced the Optimus Hub, the successor of the Optimus One, in Italy. This entry-level Android features the latest Gingerbread update.
The device runs on an 800 MHz CPU, accompanied by the Adreno GPU. It sports a 3.5" touchscreen covered by scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass. Its other features include a 5 megapixel camera, a GPS receiver, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi capability, a 3.5 mm headphone \ earphone jack, 512 MB of memory, and microSD card support up to 32 GB. The onboard 1500 mAh battery reportedly provides a talk time of up to 4 hours. The device measures 4.4" (l) x 2.4" (w) x 0.5" (d) and weighs approximately 123 grammes.
LG's Optimus Hub will be available in Italy from next month onwards, and is expected to retail at $199 (Rs 12,800 approx). Looking at the popularity of Androids in India, it shouldn't be too long before it lands here. Don't hold your breath though.
