Rumour: Nokia Lumia 820 And 920 Images Leaked
Rendered images show an array of colours for Windows Phone handsets; official announcement expected Wednesday.
New images of upcoming phones from Nokia in its Lumia series, the 920 and 820, have been leaked by the account @evleaks on Twitter. Judging by the images, the Windows Phone 8 based handsets are going to ship in an array of colours. The Lumia 820 will sport a 4.3" display and will probably be positioned as a mid-range handset, while the 4.5" Lumia 920 will be the flagship device sporting PureView camera technology, first seen in the 808 PureView.
The first image below shows the Nokia Lumia 920 PureView and Lumia 820, along with NFC-compatible accessories such as an earphone and speaker. The second image indicates that both devices will use a charging pad instead of a conventional charger, so you will simply have to place the device on the pad to start the charging process via induction. No doubt a cool feature, but the second image is clearly a render (artificially created) instead of an actual product shot. Therefore, this leak should be taken with a few pinches of salt.

While the above renders still need to be confirmed as authentic, we also have some "hands-on" images of a Lumia 820 prototype, courtesy of Chinese tech website CoolXap.com. On the design front, it looks similar to the rendered image, with rumoured specs of a 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU and a flat display surface, moving away from the curved display of the Lumia 800. If true, this is certainly a welcome move, as a curved glass screen is more prone to shattering — something we personally experienced while reviewing the 800.
No other information on the devices is available, but we won't and we will have to wait too long, since Nokia and Microsoft have jointly announced a press conference on the 5th, where they are expected to unveil their upcoming WP8 devices.
