Bangalore has always been India’s city of the future. So it’s not surprising that Ather Energy, creators of India’s smart EV bikes, started here.
Every functionality on the Ather 450 is powered by software that was internally developed by Ather’s 300+ R&D department. Many had to be built from scratch and adapted specifically for a two-wheeler. For example, the LED indicators on the bike- and cut! Spoilers!
India, unlike many other countries, boasts a huge demand for two-wheelers, and the Ather 450, priced as it is, seeks to break into a market littered with cheaper, more conventional options (that are, of course, far less cool, but a middle-class Sharma Uncle is not likely to consider that). So why, one might ask, should they buy the Ather 450?
