Vivo's X9 Smartphone Will Feature A Dual Camera Setup

Vivo is the next Chinese brand to jump on the dual camera bandwagon.

Vivo is one of the top three smartphone makers in China. Little wonder then that there's a lot of anticipation around its upcoming mid-range handset the X9. Considered as the successor of the X7, the new handset is expected to go official on November 17.

To keep the hype train up and running, the Chinese company has posted a teaser on the regional social networking platform Weibo. The teaser clearly hints at a dual camera setup in the upcoming Vivo handset. However, it does not explicitly mention the model name of the upcoming phone. does however confirm that it will have a dual camera setup.

According to GSMArena, the X9 should be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 653 chipset. It will have minimum 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. There's a good chance that Vivo is going to use the same camera sensor as that found on the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. Throw a dedicated depth sensor in the mix and things get interesting. As of now, this is all we know. Before the announcement on 17th of November, there's a good chance that Vivo will drop more hints about the X9's specifications at a regular interval.
