Microsoft's Nokia 216 Is A Smart Looking Dumb Phone

The feature phone comes with a non-exploding battery that lasts for days.

With instances of exploding "smart" phones on the rise, I won't be surprised if people are considering to go back to dumb phones. If you too fall in this category, Microsoft has a good option for you. The software giant has unveiled Nokia 216 Dual SIM handset. Despite its dirt-cheap pricing, the handset features a sleek design and incredible attention to detail. The company has even used quality polycarbonate to build this handset.

The Nokia 216 features a 2.8-inch with 320x240 pixels. It has 16 MB RAM (yes, you read that right), which is more than enough to handle Nokia's Series 30+ platform. The handset comes with a microSD card slot. Data speeds are limited to 2G. Other connecticity features include Bluetooth 3.0, Micro-USB port, and FM Radio. The handset packs-in a 1020 mAh battery with standby time of maximum 24 days. It offers talk time of up to 18 hours on a single charge. It is completely useless in the photography department, as it offers two fixed-focus VGA cameras. Under best conditions, you should expect good thumbnail size photographs.

The feature phone comes in black, grey and mint hues. Priced at Rs 2495, the phone will retail starting from next next month.
