Position your eyes properly from a distance of around 25 - 35 centimeters... and the phone is unlocked!
Rumours have been lately talking about the new Galaxy Note 7 by Samsung with an iris scanner. DNA reported about screenshots of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 getting leaked and also about the new features that are expected to come loaded with the upcoming device.
The screenshots were posted by Android Authority claiming to be from the Note 6's Grace UX interface. Here are the leaked images:
These screenshots clearly point towards the newly introduced locking feature using our irises. You can find it below the 'Fingerprints' option.
Adding to the pile of rumours, Android Authority also posted on how the iris scanner works in the Galaxy Note 7 device. According to the post, users will have to position their eyes as given on the phone screen at a distance of around 25 - 35 centimeters.
However, this is not the first time we are hearing about iris scanners. They have been making rounds in the smartphone industry for quite of while now, though have never been able to be integrated practically. This time, rumours have been backed with quite a good substance. Android Authority has also posted an image shared via Patently Mobile which clearly depicts how the iris scanner technology would be working.
Now we are pretty much sure that Note 7's iris scanner is going to be a game changer in the industry.
