04th Nov 2015The first thing you might have noticed today when you logged in to Twitter might have been the 'heart' icon in the place of the iconic 'star' for favourites.
While the company has announced in its official blog that it has taken this step to make Twitter more easier to use.
However, it seemed like the existing users didn't not take the change pretty easily, as a lot of tweets came up rambling on the change and making fun of it.
Do you love the new heart or do you miss the old star? If you are the one who miss the good old star icon, then there is a way to get it back. Though the process looks a little confusing at first, we shall try to present it with an easy-to-understand fashion.
First and foremost, you might want to download the Stylish extension for your Chrome or Firefox browser as we shall be using this extension completely to actually replace the emoji.
Once downloaded, you will have to open it and paste the 'code' given below in the main window.
.HeartAnimationContainer {
visibility: hidden;
}
.HeartAnimationContainer:after {
content: ‘’;
visibility: visible;
display: block;
position: absolute;
}While this code contains 'star' icon in it, you can even change it to almost any emoji that you would like to have.
After this is done, you shall have to add "Twitter.com" in the "Applies to:" field below the code.
You are almost good to go further. Just click on Save and open Twitter to star all the tweets you want.
However, since this is not a method which has been given by the company themselves, there is no likely a chance to make this work on the Twitter app.
